Condition: Heavily worn and extensively distressed vintage condition. The cotton displays pronounced fading, shredding, fraying and general surface wear throughout. The original rear kilt panel is missing, along with part of the cross leg / thigh strap(s). One rear pocket has partially separated at the seam but remains attached. Dating stylistically from the late-1970s and early-1980s transition in British punk, these Tiger of London bondage trousers embody the movement’s confrontational rejection of conventional dress.

The heavyweight black cotton is segmented by exposed zippers running across the backs of the legs, allowing the silhouette to be adjusted and narrowed. Large front patch pockets, metal D-rings and webbing straps extend the trousers’ functional, hardware-driven construction.

This pair has moved far beyond its original factory condition. The missing kilt panel, incomplete thigh strap, partially detached pocket and extensive fabric wear record a long process of use and damage.

Rather than simulated distressing, every faded area, frayed edge and shredded section forms part of the garment’s physical history. The result is a singular survivor of British punk design with an uncompromising, authentically deteriorated character.
