This exceptional JPG by Jean Paul Gaultier backless pinstripe chest harness vest is a rare archival piece from the designer's celebrated mid-1990s output.
Constructed from black pinstripe suiting fabric, the vest features multiple cargo and zip pockets, custom copper-tone hardware, and Jean Paul Gaultier's signature enamel arrow zip pulls. The upper chest pocket is printed with the iconic "J.P.G. SAFE SEX" graphic, while the fully backless construction is secured by crossed shoulder straps and an adjustable lower-back belt. Opening the garment reveals a vivid red typographic lining, creating a striking contrast to the tailored exterior.
A black leather version of this design is widely recognised as having been worn by Tupac Shakur on the cover of his landmark 1995 album All Eyez on Me, cementing the silhouette's place in both fashion and music history.
