This exceptional Comme des Garçons sleeveless dress is a rare piece from Rei Kawakubo's Spring/Summer 1992 collection. Exemplifying the designer's radical approach to garment construction, it reflects the deconstructed tailoring and sculptural silhouettes that defined Comme des Garçons during the early 1990s.

Cut from black wool gabardine, the dress is engineered through layered wrapping and draping to create a dynamic, asymmetrical silhouette. An intentionally displaced collar challenges traditional tailoring, while exposed silver-tone zip detailing, raw-edge overlays and a stepped hem reinforce Kawakubo's uncompromising approach to form and construction.
