Dating from the 1970s, these rare Christian Dior “Miss Dior” sunglasses are a monumental example of the house’s golden era of eyewear design. Their exaggerated butterfly-mask silhouette, geometric proportions and dramatic architectural cutouts capture the glamour and experimentation of the decade while remaining strikingly relevant within contemporary fashion.
The oversized frame is constructed from lightweight Optyl resin in a beautifully translucent gradient, shifting from army green into warm amber brown. Its softly rounded butterfly shape is contrasted by substantial sculpted temples, where split openwork cutouts introduce depth, negative space and an unmistakably futuristic quality.
