19th Century British Army Medical Officers Scarlet Mess Vest

British Army Medical Department Circa 1860s–1880s bespoke Victorian military waistcoat in scarlet wool. Features a high collar, metallic-gold trim and elaborate Austrian braid with trefoil knot detailing. Very good antique condition with wear and patina consistent with age and military use. The Austrian knotwork remains intact and securely attached. The matching indigo-black military jacket is available separately. Refer closely to the photographs for a complete assessment.
