19th century British Army Medical Officers Mess Jacket

British Army Medical Department Circa 1860s–1880s bespoke Victorian military jacket in substantial scarlet and indigo-black wool with silk-velvet facings, gold bullion lace, Austrian braid and silk lining. Features a sharply cropped silhouette, high stand collar and intricate knotwork. Very good antique condition with wear and patina consistent with age and military use. The Austrian braid remains intact and securely attached. The matching scarlet waistcoat is available separately. Refer closely to the photographs for a complete assessment.
